Arlene Davidson was a teenager when she first came to the Franciscan Renewal Center (FRC) and attended the youth-oriented Sunday evening Mass. "The music was a little more 'rock' in the 1970s." Then, as she prepared to marry, her fiancée attended RCIA here and they booked members of the liturgy band to sing at their wedding. "Over the last 40 years, I've moved away from the area and back again several times, and I always end up here." Through this long history, Arlene has formed a deep connection with the FRC and its many programs and ministries. Becoming a sponsor for RCIA was a powerful experience that left her feeling overwhelmed with Spirit. "It was such a unique, spiritual experience. I've had many of those here."
Arlene is a retired executive after 35 years in the health industry. She is a former Chair of the FRC's Board Formation and Governance Committee and currently serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors. "It's important to me that the Franciscan Renewal Center continues to meet the needs of the community and is always a place that welcomes all. I joined the La Verna Legacy Society because I believe in long-standing Franciscan values and wish to sustain the FRC's mission and vision."
